My husband is calling various insurance companies today for a car insurance quote. Of course, this is an attempt to save money. Like most people, my husband didn't get a raise this year and his health insurance rates went up. My raise just covered the rise in my health insurance rate. So that means we aren't doing a whole lot better than we were last year. It would be nice if we could get just a little farther up the ladder. I don't see it happening any time soon though. It's depressing.
I know I haven't posted in awhile. I just don't have anything to talk about. Sorry. Today I will give you an interview with a (supposed) ex-employee of a visual kei record label. It is a very long interview and I'm not really sure how true it is. (I would venture to guess about 50% is true and 50% is made up.) But it is an interesting read anyway. Even if it is all fake. The Long Interview
For once, it was a gorgeous day out. Instead of sitting around the house watching my LCD TV, I went out with my sister and her boyfriend to do some shopping. None of bought much of anything. It was just nice to get out of the house and not be surrounded by snow or need to bundle up. It's the first day in months that I could go outside without a jacket. I'm ready for you summertime!
My husband recently replaced the faucet in our kitchen. It would leak badly every time we'd use the dishwasher. Now I've turned my attention to the bathroom. So far, everything is still working properly. However, it looks like it belongs in the late 70s. A new sink and perhaps one of the Toto toilets would help. And either a new carpet or some tiling instead. Anything would be better than what is there now.
AH! I just realized that it'll be swimsuit season really soon. I love the summer but I hate swimsuits. They make me feel like a whale. And I'm not fond of weight loss diet supplement things because they aren't really healthy for you. I know weight loss isn't supposed to be easy. It would just be nice if it were EASIER. Doing a lot of work without seeing any results is depressing.
The winter made my skin dry, which was gross but easy enough to deal with. Now that the weather is starting to warm up, I'm beginning to break out again. I'm not sure if I should start some complicated regimen or just buy a tube of tretinoin and do spot treatments. It's not my entire face. It's mostly the t-zone area. Well, less my forehead and more my cheeks and nose. The I-area? Help!
My husband and I were watching World's Dumbest... last night. Our favorite episode was actually World's Dumbest Smartest Inventions. Surprisingly, there weren't a ton of fat burning products, but our favorite product did fall into that category. It's called the Hawaii Chair. It's basically a chair with a swiveling seat that is supposed to simulate hula dancing. Somehow this translates into SUPER ABS. Anyway, it is awesome and I kinda want to try one.
Since no one has been answering the Wednesday Polls for awhile, I think I will do away with that feature. I'll try to figure out something to fill the space. Brainstorm with me! On an unrelated note, I'll be heading off to get my haircut in a few weeks. I need to decide what type of style I want. My hair is already pretty short (about chin-length) and it's very curly. Does anyone have any favorite websites to look for hairstyles? I wonder if the stylist will talk about hair loss prevention since I shed a lot. There is tons and tons of hair on the top of my head so, trust me, I'm not in risk of going bald or anything. Some people just freak out when they see how much hair I lose.
