Today will be awful

This is my prediction for today. Today will be awful. It started out with me waking up feeling awful. I really, truly hope that I am not getting sick. I don't have time to be sick. Add to that the gross weather. It's not raining yet but the roads are wet enough to make my windshield dirty and difficult to see through. Then I had problems with my debit card when I stopped for gas. When I got into work and looked at the menu for today's birthday lunch (we celebrate birthdays on a monthly basis so today would be for me and one of my co-workers), of the 5 things ordered, I don't eat 3 of them which I specifically noted when the coordinators were asking us what we'd like to have. *sigh*

I really wish I could toss on a set of comfy nursing scrubs and curl up in a corner. My work clothes are annoying and I hate wearing them. We don't have customers that come into the office so I'm not really sure why we need to have a business casual office. We need a casual-casual office.

Let's hope today gets better.

Welcome to the Holiday Season

I hope everyone made it through Black Friday without any injuries. Personally, I didn't leave my house until after the big rush was finished. By the time I went out, there was no one at the store. And no, I didn't do a single bit of Christmas shopping. Even today, Cyber Monday, was spent looking at Citizen watches for myself. I've been relying on my cell phone to keep track of the time for me and, well, that just isn't enough anymore. Don't worry, I'll have my Christmas shopping done in time. I just don't feel the need to rush out with the herd to get it done before the month of December has even fallen on us. I'll take my time and lovingly find the perfect gift for all of my friends and loved ones. That is what the holiday is about, right? Thinking about others. Not buying stuff for stuff's sake.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! I guess now it's time to begin the Christmas season. I hope you don't get trampled by the Black Friday crowds. (You could always go the easy route and try to find morgan dollars for sale. After all, everyone loves money and different types of money is always cool.) Personally, I'm spending tomorrow snuggled up in front of the television. Black Friday is no day to be outside.

November whizzed past

Tomorrow is my birthday! I will be *mumble* years old! Let's just say I will be over 30 but under 40. My husband supposedly has a big surprise but won't give me any hints. Last year, I got a new cell phone, which I still love. With all the junk food he's been buying lately, I kinda hope he doesn't follow up with some "gourmet treats for her birthday" like huge chocolate covered strawberries. I'm trying to lose weight. He doesn't get that. Well, I guess I will find out tomorrow...though I still have to work all day. Blargh.

It can't be Monday yet!

I had such a busy weekend. On top of the normal weekly things we have, we cleaned the entire house because my husband's best friend was coming over. We haven't seen him in quite a few years so it was a nice visit. I also spent some time with my mother brainstorming ways to market my Zumba classes. My mom has been working so hard on my Zumba classes. I really need some awesome personalized gift ideas for Mom. She is quite difficult to shop for since she pretty much buys anything she needs herself. I hope something good pops up.

Christmas decisions

Christmas is coming up quickly. I haven't started my shopping yet. I haven't even begun to think about what to get everyone. Perhaps I'll get my husband a set of cutting tools. Then he can work on some of the projects around the house that keep getting put off. He might just think I'm insane though. He usually gets video games, not tools. But I know he likes tools....oh decisions.

RV vacations

When I was a kid, my family used to go on vacation in my grandparent's motorhome. While it wasn't an awesome as a hotel, it was still pretty neat. I've been looking around at various RVs and reading up on a 5th wheel warranty. My daughter might enjoy taking a trip in something like that. My husband is always threatening to go camping and he knows that I hate tent camping. Something like this might not be so awful though. As long as driving it won't kill us at least!

Thursday already?

Wow. It's Thursday. Where did this week go? I'm currently watching Sasaki Fusai no Jingi Naki Tatakai with Inagaki Goro and Koyuki. Unfortunately, they just changed my hours at work so I won't be able to watch episodes during my lunch break any more. I might be able to squeeze in half an episode but it still means taking twice as long to watch a series. I have 4 more episodes left to finish this one. I should be able to have a review ready by next week.

This time of year is soooooo busy.
