Arashi - Wish

arashi-wish I have been lacking in the music department lately. I apologize. Hopefully, a little boy band music will make you feel better.

Wish is popularly known as the theme song for the first season of the Hana Yori Dango jdorama. Of course, both Arashi and HYD feature Matsumoto Jun. Not only is the song cute on its own but the video for it is also adorable. It features a little puppet man trying to win the heart of a little puppet girl. I think, thanks to the HYD connection, that this was my first introduction into the world of Arashi. Let the cuteness wash over you!

Game review: The Hidden Object Show: Season 2

Last year, I panned The Hidden Object Show game. I think someone, somewhere must have been listening because the Season 2 version is much better. No longer are you scouring dark shadows for objects. (Well, maybe once in awhile but not nearly as often as you were before.) The overall premise of being on a game show is still a little annoying. However, the rest of the game is pretty fun so it's easy to overlook the rest. Just mute the gameshow host and everything will be dandy!

JDorama review: Maou

Title: Maou Broadcast date: 7/4/08 - 9/12/08 Genre: Suspense drama Cast: Ohno Satoshi, Ikuta Toma Plot: Eleven years ago, Naoto (Toma) was involved in a fatal accident. Now someone is murdering those around him as revenge. What is good: Everything pieced together perfectly. What is bad: The supernatural parts felt slightly overused. Letter rating: A+ Overall: I wasn't sure what to expect coming into this. Ohno is known as being the Leader of the boy band Arashi. This was his first starring role in a drama so I semi-expected him to be bad. Surprisingly, he is an extremely talented actor and I never once had to suspend my belief in him. At the same time, Toma, who is commonly known as a comedic actor, held his own in the drama setting. This is a show that I feel everyone should watch.

I wish I traveled more. Choice Hotels (they're the ones that run Comfort Inn, EconoLodge, Clarion and a few others) has this offer for a free hotel stay. You have to stay in one of their hotels for two separate stays to qualify. I rarely spend one night a year in a hotel so, of course, I don't even come close to qualifying. Blah. I want to travel!
