We’re almost halfway through the month and I haven’t run out of Tubi original movies yet. These are starting to feel a bit more like the Hallmark Christmas movies - poorly made movies that are churned out by the dozen. Maybe Hijacked will save my sanity.
Thomas (Tremayne Norris) is a former bomb squad technician with the police. When his famous influencer daughter, Ebony (Chrissy Stokes), is kidnapped, Thomas must not only find her but also diffuse the bombs threatening her life.
Well, this is one of those movies that is bad but not awful. I have seen worse and there have definitely been better this year. The problem here, as with most of the movies on Tubi, is that the writers seem to know how they want the movie to end but they don’t know how to get there. So we end up with a lot of unnecessary scenes where the characters stand around and talk about nothing. Or talk about something but don’t talk about it in a way that will resolve a single problem. On the plus side, the acting wasn’t terrible this time around.
