I Know Where You Live pretty much tells you what this movie is going to be about. There’s going to be a stalker and there’s probably going to be some murder.
Sarah (Apryl Jones) is very cautious when it comes to dating. She doesn’t give her number out to anyone she doesn’t know. She doesn’t even let men know where she lives. So when her current boyfriend, Neimon (Oshea Russell), begins to show violent tendencies, she feels safe cutting off contact with him. However, Neimon starts stalking her. Sarah tries to get the police involved but, until Neimon actually does something, there isn’t much they can do. Despite Sarah’s absolute conviction that Neimon is the one stalking her, there’s actually someone else she should be worried about instead.
This one was a little more interesting than some of the other movies I’ve watched lately. There is a pretty good twist that I only vaguely saw coming. My only gripe with the movie is that Sarah makes terrible decisions for someone who is being stalked. She takes the same route on her daily jog, sometimes she jogs in the dark, she doesn’t seem to really tell any of her friends or co-workers how bad the stalking has gotten. While the stalking isn’t her fault, she doesn’t seem to be doing much, besides talking to the police, to keep herself safe. So it’s not super surprising when people start turning up dead. I would have loved to see Sarah be more proactive about her safety. That also probably would have made the movie scarier.
