The next movie I found on Tubi is a Fatal Attraction rip-off called The Delivery Girl. And, honestly, it really isn’t at all like Fatal Attraction.
Jacob (Charlie Newhart) is unhappy with his life. He works from home as an insurance adjuster (boring!); he barely talks with his wife, Mya (Teisha Brown); and his only friend, Gabriel (Mic Larry), is a loser. When Aria (Ayla Thompson) comes into his life by delivering groceries to his house, he tries to befriend the young woman. Aria, however, has something completely different in mind.
I know that this is supposed to be a thriller where the (spoiler) crazy girl stalks the man and ruins his life. But none of this was thrilling. There wasn’t any part where I felt that Jacob’s life or his wife’s life was in danger. As a matter of fact, there is only one death and he kinda deserved it. Sure, Ayla keeps coming around Jacob’s house to seduce him but he doesn’t really do anything to deter her. Every time he says “No, I’m married,” it feels half-hearted. And when a frustrated Ayla tries to ruin Jacob’s life, she does a terrible job at it. This movie felt like some sort of high school version of an unfulfilled crush. And a lame one at that.
