Game review: Wild West Quest

Wile West Quest is a western-themed hidden object game. Besides the normal hidden object objectives, there are other mini-games to play as well. Of course, those are western-themed too. Sometimes you'll have a shoot-out in the center of town; sometimes you'll need to wrangle some horses; sometimes you'll need to ID brands on cattle. None of the mini-games are particularly difficult but they do change things up just enough to keep the game from getting boring. Overall, the game isn't all that bad. The hidden object parts are fairly typical but the game shines a bit more in the mini-game areas. Since either the camera or the objects you are dealing with are moving in those games, you need a little more skill to get through them. Not that this makes those pieces of the game difficult, just interesting.

J-actor mini-bio: Matsumoto Jun

matsujun.jpg Name: Matusmoto Jun Nicknames: MatsuJun, Junji Birthday: 8/30/83 Height: 5'6" (173cm) Weight: 127 lbs (58kg)

Where do I know him from? Gokusen, Kimi wa Petto, Hana Yori Dango, Bambino

Tell me some more! MatsuJun is also a member of the singing group Arashi. They debuted in 1999 and are still going strong.

What is your opinion of him? I've seen a couple of his shows with some variety in characters. He plays a bad boy very well. I'm hoping to catch Bambino at some point to see how he handles that role. On the singing side, he doesn't have the best voice in Arashi but he definitely has the charisma to make up for it.

J-actor mini-bio: Itoh Misaki

Name: Itoh Masaki (Itou Masaki/Ito Masaki) Real Name: Anzai Tomoko Birthday: 5/26/77 Height: 5'7" (171cm)

Where do I know her from? Densha Otoko, Gokusen, Taiho Shichauzo (You're Under Arrest), Maison Ikkoku (live action drama), Ju-on: The Grudge

Tell me some more! Besides acting and modeling, Misaki is qualified to teach kindergarten. She also has a license to be a social welfare officer. Despite it being rather uncommon for Japanese celebrities, Misaki has drivers license as well.

What is your opinion of her? At this point in time, I've only seen a couple of her series. She seems to do well playing a "typical" quiet Japanese woman. I have yet to see her in a role where she breaks the rules or is more forceful with her feelings. It would be interesting to see her try out some different types of characters.

J-actor mini-bio: Kubozuka Yosuke

Name: Kubozuka Yosuke Birthday: 5/7/79 Height: 5' 9" (177cm) Weight: 121 lbs (55kg)

Where do I know him from? Strawberry on the Shortcake, Ikebukuro West Gate Park, Great Teacher Onizuka, Long Love Letter

Tell me some more! In 2004, he survived a 26 meter (approx. 85 ft) fall from his apartment balcony with only minor injuries. This has been rumored to have been a suicide attempt due to his declining popularity. Supposedly he had glorified the use of marijuana and was active in movements to legalize the drug. It has also been rumored that he is prone to violent attacks and repeated suicide threats.

What is your opinion of him? I've watched quite a few of his series and I think he is a really good actor. He has a bit of the 'boy next door' vibe. If the rumors about him are true, I hope that he got some professional help. He has been making a comeback in movies since his fall. I really hope this means that he has given up his bad boy ways and learned how to behave properly.

J-actor mini bio: Nakama Yukie

Name: Nakama Yukie Birthday: 10/30/79 Height: 5'2" (160 cm) Weight: 101 lbs (46 kg)

Where do I know her from? Gokusen, Trick, Tokyo Wankei, Ringu 0: Basudei

Tell me some more! Nakama-san is also a singer. She has performed the theme songs for the anime Haunted Junction and the video game Megaman X4. Along with the Tokyo governor, Shintaro Ishihara, she was voted the most viewed personality on Japanese television.

What is your opinion of her? I think Nakama-san is a great comedic actress. I've often watched a series just because she was in it. While I haven't watched any of her dramatic roles yet, I believe that she could pull off a dramatic role just as well as she does her comedic ones.

J-Actor mini bio: Fukada Kyoko

Name: Fukada Kyoko Nicknames: Fukakyon Birthday: 11/2/82 Height: 5'3" (164 cm) Weight: 99 lbs (45 kg)

Where do I know her from? Five (Yodobashi Kanae), Strawberry on the Shortcake (Misawa Yui), To Heart (Miura Toko), Ringu 2 (Sawaguchi Kanae), Onmyoji 2 (Himiko/Amemiko)

Tell me some more! Fukada-san is a singer, as well as an actress. Her songs have been used as the theme song for Imagine and Soshite, tomodachi. She has released 4 albums and 10 singles.

What is your opinion of her? I've enjoyed watching her in various dramas. From what I've seen so far, she has the ability to bring innocence into a character, even if they may not actually be innocent. As for her singing career, I've tried to listen to a few of her songs. For the most part, they are too syrupy sweet for me. She hasn't released an album for a couple of years. Maybe she's left the pop behind for acting, where she really seems to belong.

J-Actor mini-bio: Oguri Shun

Name: Oguri Shun Nicknames: Ogushun, Guri, Ogurin Birthday: 12/26/82 Height: 6' (183 cm) Weight: 154 lbs (70 kg)

Where do I know him from? Hana Yori Dango (Hanazawa Rui), Hana Yori Dango 2 Returns (Hanazawa Rui), Gokusen (Uchiyama Haruhiko), Densha Otoko (Minamoto Munetaka), GTO (Yoshikawa Noboru)

Tell me some more! He has been in commercials for J-Phone, as well as performing in stage plays and doing voiceovers for anime. Recently, he was cast as the voice of the main character in the Japanese dub of Surf's Up. In 2005, tabloid Friday Magazine discovered his relationship with Morning Musume member Yaguchi Mari. This is rumored to be the reason that Yaguchi suddenly left Morning Musume in April of that year. Another popular rumor is that Matusmoto Jun (Domyouji in Hana Yori Dango) insisted that the producers cast Oguri as Hanazawa Rui in Hana Yori Dango. The two have been close friends since working on Gokusen together and Matsumoto refused to play Domyouji if Oguri was not hired.

What is your opinion of him? I've found Oguri to be a decent actor. While I haven't seen a majority of his work, the roles that I have seen him in tend to be loners that only speak when it is necessary. This leaves a sort of mysterious air about him, which tends to make him very attractive. I would like to see more of his work and I hope that he branches out into some more versatile roles.
