Give Me Back My Baby may be the first Tubi movie that isn’t given away by the title. I’m not sure if that is good or bad…
When Olivia (Robyn Rose) has a miscarriage, she turns to surrogacy as a means to have a baby. Thankfully, her former college roommate, Morgan (Bella Chadwick), has offered to be her surrogate. Everything seems to be going well. Or has Olivia turned a blind eye to the trouble that she let in?
I am so grateful that this movie isn’t awful. It still has a few flaws but it is much better than some of the other movies I’ve watched this season. One of the biggest problems is that it is a little difficult to keep track of the timeline. We see Morgan’s belly get bigger but, beyond that, there are only a few clues to tell us how much time has passed. And sometimes those clues don’t seem to match up with things the characters say. But, if you can look beyond the wacky timeline, the movie overall isn’t too bad. The twist at the end is a little interesting but I wish there were a few more clues about it through the rest of the movie. It felt a little jarring. Overall, not a terrible watch.
Rating: So many babies, so little time
